I see Port and Starboard used a number of times. I have been asked which is which. The kiss method is:



Port = Left (4 letters)

Starboard = Right (more than 4 letters)

I came up with this many years ago.In most cases the steering wheel is on the right.So when I am boating there is always a STARonBOARD.I'm on the right,port is on the left.lol.
