Well, it's the next to last TGIF for 2009! I hope that everyone has a great day and survives the 'crush' of folks that will likley be at the stores and mall this weekend.

Sign of the times:

Last Saturday, my wife and I were in Home Depot on Saturday afternoon. Now, Home Depot on any Saturday afternoon is usually pretty busy. Coming onto Christmas, it should be very busy, as those types of gifts for the 'man of the house' are commonplace. Not only was the store not busy at all (we have one Lowes and one Home Depot in Tyler), I could see that most of the Christmas Decorations and such were still on the shelves.

Move to Sam's:

Same thing. Fair amount of people buying food and such, but the crowds you would expect were not there. And again, MOST all of their Christmas decorations (trees, lights, etc.) were still there. In past years, that stuff has been gone 2-3 weeks before Christmas.

Enjoy the weekend and TGIF!

Tex

TGIF to you and everyone else Tex! Glad Hannukah ends tonight, we are done with the shopping, so can skip the stores! Except, I have $100 in BPS gift cards, so need to get to the store over the next few weeks.

Rain/cold here, predicting possible snow tomorrow, hoping to get out fishing on Sun.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Our Home Depot has been sold out of outdoor lights for 3 weeks, I had a heck of a time finding some, finally had luck at Ace Hardware.

Be safe, big storm rolling up the coast. Supposed to dump big amounts in various places along the way. We're not getting anything from it, will be off the coast by then.

And someone check in on Uncle Billy and Nancy if they can this weekend, my sister-n-law lives a few miles from them in Gambrills, and current weather looks as you guys know 8-12 inches of snow!

Happy it is Friday, but not looking forward to all the snow we are going to get dumped on us here in VA. At least I was able to spend yesterday on the hot side of Anna, thanks Bill.
