Well, it's the next to last TGIF for 2009! I hope that everyone has a great day and survives the 'crush' of folks that will likley be at the stores and mall this weekend.
Sign of the times:
Last Saturday, my wife and I were in Home Depot on Saturday afternoon. Now, Home Depot on any Saturday afternoon is usually pretty busy. Coming onto Christmas, it should be very busy, as those types of gifts for the 'man of the house' are commonplace. Not only was the store not busy at all (we have one Lowes and one Home Depot in Tyler), I could see that most of the Christmas Decorations and such were still on the shelves.
Move to Sam's:
Same thing. Fair amount of people buying food and such, but the crowds you would expect were not there. And again, MOST all of their Christmas decorations (trees, lights, etc.) were still there. In past years, that stuff has been gone 2-3 weeks before Christmas.
Enjoy the weekend and TGIF!
