Check the "This is funny" post, 1/8/03. It got out of hand and is now frozen. I tried sticking up for Rob and look where it got me!! Check out that guys e-mail addresses. I thought it was funny.



My apologies to this website for letting myself get that involved with someone like that.

Oh wow, I never went back to that post and didn't know the guy tried to be so cool! Good job of cyber bit$@ slapping him though Bob. You know, some folks simply have too much free time and nothing better to do. Must be they were bored on the bash page. I learned with the yahoo that came here bashing me when Tom Mac and I had our differences. The guy's e-mail was fake. Anyone that can just troll on in and leave a nasty gram without the cahonies to leave a real e-mail address to be able to "discuss" it like adults, can only be a kid. That's my real opinion. Or an adolescent in an adult's body.

Hey Rich, being the techy guru that you are, there must be a way despite their attempts to hide their true identity, that we can find out who these trolls really are right? Isn't there some kind of e-fingerprint from the ISP and yada yada that the webmaster can investigate their way to? It would be very interesting to learn the true identities of these trolls. Then we could put their real names up for all to see and learn to ignore in the future. Ya know like they do at the little convenience stores when someone bounces a check. They put the check there under class for the whole town to see until the offender comes and "buys" the check with cash at full value + interest. Best idea....I swear.

Depending upon the information stored, the best you can do sometimes is capture the IP address that the message/post is coming from. But that is misleading, as common IP addresses are common for people inside a common firewall, or dial up service.

I doubt they are from a common firewall as that would likely be at a place of employment correct? I would think these people are doing this from the confines of their pathetic little universe called home. (Am I attempting to lure one out???? YUP, always fishing for a bite!) LOL durn fever! But if they are home, you can only find out who the ISP dial up company is? I don't know much about this stuff.
