I have a Targa 18 (2000) that I'm going to need to do some livewell work on (rear). Basically, I have two problems that I'm addressing.

1) No overflow tube or drain hole. Wasn't done properly at the factory and we are way past warranty. Dealer doesn't want to mess with it.

2) The Flow-rite control (on/off only) has no effect. One of two situations has occurred. Either the valve is blocked by something (as has been suggested on flow-rite's site); or the valve never was hooked up. This one is my suspicion given the other factors that I have experienced.

My question is this: What problems am I likely to encounter in attempting to remove the rear deck, so that I can gain access to the livewell/bilge area? I figure that I'm going to tackle both problems at once (adding an overflow for the rear livewell and fixing the valve).

Any info would be appreciated.

You might want to try an e-mail to Jeff White...Magna 19... He just did a full rebuild of the interior of his boat... I am adding a rear live well and casting deck so I can "discuss" plumbing issues in general, but Jeff took up his entire floor. |Good luck. Let me know if there is anything you might want to know from me... I can describe and provide photos of the drain system I put in the new livewell.
