Surveys - Rich

Rich, I've noticed that the Surveys section is never used. If someone has an idea for a survey or poll how would they go about getting it posted? Would it not maybe be better if there was a way a member could post it just by going to "Surveys" and having the ability there to post whatever survey or poll he wants to. Is that possible?

Bill, the survey tool is a bit more involved than a typical "poll" feature found on message boards these days. It was built to do extended lists of questions of varying types and styles ("on scale of 1 to 10", "which of the following", "describe your impression..."), as often seen with marketing research projects. As a result, setting up a survey, while not hard, is not something I care to build a user interface for (it's done via a database). I developed it as a commercial survey tool to offer as part of sponsor benefits. Alas, it rarely gets used.



I have been researching message boards for the eventual retirement of this forum software. There is a good chance that the new software will have a forum accessible poll/survey type tool.
