I got a question for the fiberglass experts on the board I. As I was cleaning the boat today I noticed a small crack on right next to the loose item tray on the passenger side of the boat . It

If that's the only one you've found so far, consider yourself VERY lucky,....I wouldn't worry about it....atleast for now anyway,....keep an eye on it,...if it starts to get any worse, you could have it fixed over the winter, but crax in that area will only reappear over time anyway, and more than likely, they'll be worse the second time around!! If you thought it was a "hair", then it sounds like a clear coat crack,...those are VERY COMMON!!..

A crack that goes down into the gel is more serious. Sounds like yours is a clear coat........not to worry!!

Just my .02

Trep,

what you say may be true, but as we all know...

Dem Bass luv dem sparkles!

Hey Trepman Aluminum may have no stress cracks ,but my old Alumacraft was as noisy as a cat pissing on a hot tin roof- don't ask me what that means I have no clue, just sounds good

Oh contrare, I've had 2 tin rigs split. Maybe not stress cracks, but I don't know what you would call them. The flex caused the metal to split. And when a glass boat gets stress cracks, it's cosmetic, but when tin splits, it starts to sink!
