Steering Cable - Followup Question

1989 Tracker TX-17 with Johnson 40HP



I need to replace the steering cable but want to make sure I get the right thing. I know I'll have to take my measurements but I want to make sure I'm ordering the right thing.

These are sold by length, measure what you have and replace with the same. Above looks like a link to a system, not just a cable.

If your intent is to replace eveything behind the steering wheel to the motor [kaboodle plus cable], then this should fit the bill [measured properly of course].



As Berry indicates, this is more than just the cable. Cables are available at Bass pro one webpage level drilled up from what you sent.

Yep that would fit the bill. And liek the guys said thats the whole system.



Personally i since the boat is 10 years old i would think about putting in a whole system instead of just a cable. The helms do wear out too and whole its all apart why not change it.
