Since I mounted a stainless prop.when in put the engine in gear it rambles and klunks.

With a little throttle it goes away.but it doesn't sound very good.

Never had this with other engine a

Prop is tight with no play and axle has no play to.

90 HP merc

This is normal for some applications. What you are hearing is "clutch dog rattle", and is not harmful to the motor. Give it a little throttle and it goes away......;)

Ok thanks.

Another question. Just had the upper seals on the lower replaced.

But when it was stored trimmed up there was spill of oil under it

It came from the little hole before the shift axle.

What

could be the trouble with that?

If it is coming out the drain hole for the shift shaft cavity, it could b residual OR the shift shaft bushing itself. Be sure to monitor lube quality closely. If there are any signs of water it must be pressure checked for leaks.....

Yeah the "rattle" is more prominent on the 90 more than others it seems.

Mine only does it right about 800 RPM...I just adjust it up or down a little and stay out of the range if possible. Mine has 100's of hours on it and no issues.
