has anyone had any luck installing a ski pylon on a nitro 170 TF using the rear seat socket? (after all, you can't fish ALL day)

I contacted tracker marine and they refered me to my local dealer. The local dealer said they can do it but refused to tell me just HOW they would do it and how MUCH it would cost or if they would warrantee their work!

If I understand this right, the pylon uses the same 5/8 to 3/4" socket hole but there's some sort of screw on the bottom of the pylon that threads into a hole at the bottom of the socket?

I looked it up on the BPS(<= not bad, I'm learning Hee Hee Hee) site. not much information there.

I just bought a pair of the O'brien wide skis. Wickit cool. They work great. Damn near ski themselves. Maybe I'll be able to start off on 1 ski this year!

Rick, is that a 300 hp outboard?? can you get airborne?
