Interesting...here's a thread over on another board about a cracked transom on a Ranger...Apparently there are some CS issues with that brand, too...

Like I said before, it doesn't matter who you are, you can't make everybody happy all the time. Unhappy people desperate for help or a fix will usually get V-e-r-y vocal. Let's face it, if it were my rig, I'd want it fixed too. The key skill with any retailer is negotiation. Go in like a bull in a china shop and they will automaticlly shut down. My theory has always worked and it's to slowly turn up the volume until they don't like the noise and want me to go away (usually with a smile on my face). Of course I can always go TOXIC.
