Hey Rob Howfully we don't have to think about this but what if we have truely nasty weather on either days or both days . I mean nasty winds out of the south or southeast where we have waves 3 feet or better or heavy rain . Do you have any alternete plans. I know that 3 footers are no problem for my boat and some of the others but some of the guys have smaller boats. Also if Sunday is really nasty and I mean really nasty we may pass on fishing since we paln to meet up with everyone by boat on Sunday, It's a lot quicker by water than by land . I know that typically June has nicer weather but you know how that winds loves to blow up there.MAybe a backup plan might not be a bad idea

I have been considering that. We may have to have an alternate launch site planned. I was thinking of the rte 2 launch in VT. It's in the narrows and leaves plenty of back up spots for small boats. We will be able to determine that Friday or Saturday night. I am hoping it won't be required. Even with a south wind, if folks with smaller boats make the short run to Monty's bay, they have plenty of available fish to target in a very protected bay. Other than that, the MI boys are all to familiar with that kind of water. I am confident we will be OK!

Another spot you may want to consider is Dillenbeck's bay just south of Alburg . The bay is usually calm and the Alburg passage is not bad . I think the parking is about the same at the route 2 bridge it would not be bad for the guys with the small boats . The only problem is that everyone would need a VT license . But hopefully there will be no wind that weekend.
