Hey Rob, whats the chances of booking a bird hunting trip, are there any weekends your available. I would love for once to hunt with a good guide and his master, ah I mean his bird dog. There would be two of us, my cousin Dave and myself. He's into skeet shooting and both of us are experienced bird hunters. Just can't hit anything. Oh Ya, don't worry we won't shoot any protected birds. Would love to try pheasants if you have any in the area but I love those partriges. Would love to hunt both if possible. Oh Ya this would be a paid guided trip, no freebees. Give me a call in the evening at 315-287-7995. Thanks Jim Moore

We can do that Jim. I'll tell you what I tell all my clients but many don't heed. The absolute best time to hunt is in mid to late November. All the brush is down, all deer hunters are in southern tier, and the birds have started to covey up so we get lots of doubles and triples. But alas, many still come too early, so I have quite a few openings available that time. I will call you tonight and we can discuss it. Of course you will get a good discount. I always include a cold cut, tailgate lunch, so we will discuss you and your cousins eating likes and dislikes. What kind of guns do you hunt with? Also, be sure to hit the clay range the week before and brush up, just a suggestion. There may be some phesants left by then but they're all released birds. I can get you on some if they haven't been wiped out by predators. Mortalitly is 100% on released birds by winter!

Thanks Rob,

You pick the dates and we'll be there. November and even early december is fine with us. Jim

You want 1 day or 2? How are Nov 23rd and 24th? The weekend before Thanksgiving? You can stay at the Stonehelm again. I will have room at the new house if you want to save a few bucks. As long as you don't mind the kids and a million questions from Cody at night when we get in! LOL I'll have 2 couches by then, one folds out and both are right near the fireplace. The 'helm is not being so cooperative so I would guess it would still be $60 a night or so. I would recommend for that price staying right in town at a place with a pool and bar! I can try some of the hotel for you. We usually get going about 8:00 am once the sun is up and birds start coming off the roost and end about 5:00pm once they start going back up for the night with a full tailgate lunch. Do you have field pants? If not, I highly recommend the BPS redheads for $40! You really want them if you hunt birds a lot. Especially in these covers.

I will get back to you. I've got to check with my cousin to see if he's available those dates. Jim

Rob, the dates you picked will work fine. If you need a deposit to confirm those dates let me know. It will be up to you if you want to put us both up for the night. We both love kids and enjoy being around them, the only problem will be can you take crying a lot because my cousin is quite a comedian and will have tears running out of your eyes most of the night. Jim

Jim, that's fine. We're keeping the old home for now. But there's still room in the living room to put your head and the BBQ always works! LOL I don't need a deposit. If you don't show, I know where to find you! LOL I'll write you in today!
