Do you think the Rick Clunn Luck E Strike crankbaits are virtually the same as the Lucky Craft version? I just bought a few of the Lucky Craft silent versions on sale at BPS and wonder if I should have bought the cheaper ones instead.

The fish don't know the difference,....you'll have to try them yourself and see if they work the same, (i.e. run true,...same depth,..action,...etc). I've got $3.00 crankbaits that I won't go anywhere without,...and I've got $20.00 L/C's that are junk!

Nothing is guaranteed to work based on price,...;)

Yes they are pretty much the same. Rick owned the design. He took his design from Lucky Craft and brought it to Luck E Strike. So it really isn't a "knockoff" as it is still his original design....just made by someone else.

The colors and design look exactly like Lucky Craft's version. I would say LC getting $15 a pop is over.

There will be people that think the LC ones are better. Same people like to buy Stella spinning reels....

And the RC design was turned into another crankbait years ago by LC...The BDS is VERY similar.
