I didn't do it last winter, but am thinking I'll remove the tires and set the boat & trailer on blocks. The leaf spring bolts protrude below the bracket, so I'm wondering if I put the jack in that location, where would be the best location to place the blocks (w/2"x6" board on top of blocks)? It's a single-axle trailer with PT175 on it.

Why not just put it up on jacks and leave the wheels on?

What's winter........????????:lol: We fish year round here in VA (the hot side of Anna NEVER freezes even if it's 10 degrees outside.

Don't forget to put tire dressing on your tires before forgetting about them for the winter. You should be doing it all year also. I've got 2 Marathons on my dual axle that have at least 50,000 on them (2 were replaced due to the prievios owner putting a car tire on as a spare and airing down the tire on the other side, causing them both to go bad from heat), and they are still going strong. Don't confuse Tire "Dressing" with that shiney silicone crap. Get the good stuff!!

For tire dressing I use the Meguiar's Gel product for tires that you wipe-on with a sponge or cloth. Then I cover the tires with a heavy plastic yard bag and tape the loose ends to keep them from blowing-off in the wind. The gel product asts a long time.
