QUESTION ON INSTALLING PEDESTALS

HI, I wanted to se if anyone had any tips on installing pedestals after replacing the boat floor in my tracker magna. One dealership told me to put aluminum sheeting under the floor when i install it and after i carpet just screw thru wood and into the aluminum and that will act like a nut keeping the tight. I am putting in round bottom bell pedestals so any tips on how to bolt them in would be great.

depends on if you want to get them up without pulling the decks,i would run 1/4 or 5/16 machine bolts and nuts in the holes with the plate under the deck,and locking nuts.if not,put the plate down,screw the mount down to it.
