Hey, on my PT 185 the a part of the rub rail has poped out either on the top or bottom ( no more than 6" in any one place). How do I put it back in? Thanks

Make a solution of hot water and dish soap. Spray the area where the rub rail has popped out and then hit the rub rail with a rubber mallet. The soap acts as a lubricant and allows the rub rail to pop back into place.

Mine got so stretched out from rubbing against trees that I finally had to replace it. Something else that works pretty good for lubing the rubber strip is Blakemore Reel Magic. Dries clean with no oily residue. I keep a rawhide mallet on the boat just for this chore.

If any more of mine comes out...I'm puttin' the SCREWS too it!! :) It is a pain, seems if you bump it...it pops out.

Did the same thing this weekend loading my Avalanche.

Smacked the back right hand corner against the dock poping the rub rail out. What a pain to get back in.
