Primer Bulb on 150 Pro XS

I have a new Z7 with 150 Pro XS, and the primer bulb will not get hard. The arrow is pointed up as it should be. I have tried opening the gas cap, and even turning the key on for a few seconds to try and activate the electronic fuel pump like the book says. The motor starts and runs fine, but I don't know if this is something I should be concerned about.
