I have a new 901 CDX, 2 months old, my back deck seat pole will not hold any pressure. When your "not" sitting in it, it is extended all the way out, but when you sit down on it it might hold for a minute or two but then all-of-a-sudden it will fall out from under you. I'm afraid my partner is going to fall out of the boat, it might be a good show if the fish ain't biteing, but i really don't want to wish it on any one. Besides it's pretty loud when it hits bottoms and I am afraid it is scareing my shallow fish away and that's why I ain't been catching much lately. No seriously, is there any way to fix this? The dealer I bought the boat from is about 200 miles away and I really don't want to drag the boat that far for a seat pole. Any suggestions? Thanks KENNY

That sounds very unsafe! Call the dealer and either they can have manufacturer of the pole or they themselves can send UPS to deliver good one/pick up bad one. Should be able to lift it out of deck hole and remove seat (four screws?).

Had the same type of thing with 2 out of 3 I got with my boat and dealer exchanged them both, no problem....(of course my dealer is a little closer to me than yours is to you).

I had the same problem, called the manufacture and they sent me a new one right away, they did not even want the old one, so give them a call.

I'd give the dealer a chance to swap it out. If they can't/won't, call the manufacture. That pole should be made by Springfield or Swivel-eze.
