Not sure if this topic has been covered before, but maybe worth repeating anyway.
This past Saturday at our club tournament it rained...good and steady for 5 hours! Sunday wasn't much good for drying out the boat. I was horrified to find 2 - 3 INCHES of water in my front storage (rod locker) compartments! Seems that someone at Nitro thinks the drain holes should be in the upward corners of the compartment where the water would need to be atleast 5 inches deep before it would reach the drain hole!!!!!!
Okay.....sooooo while sucking up the water and drying out the contents I had this idea!! I went to Home Depot and bought a 98 cent roll of 1/4"OD plastic tubing (like you use in fish aquariums and ice makers). I bought the size that would fit inside the drain plug and I used Liquid Nails to secure it. I made the tubing extra long so that I could push 2 - 3 inches into the subfloor where the water drains. I used approx. 1 foot of tubing on each compartment. So now when it rains the water "SHOULD" flow from the drain thru the tubing and into the hull area.
I have a 1999 Nitro 700LX and I sure hope someone at Nitro has moved the drain holes to the lower side and perhaps have installed 10 cents worth of tubing so the inside of the locker won't get wet.

ps.....I tried taking pictures but they didn't come out well to see.
