O.K. guys and gals, I getting rid of my 901 and ordering the new Patriot 929 on Tuesday, I've read all of the previous posts about the Opti vs. EFI and need a little more encouragement to spend the extra $2,300 on the Opti. I am also aware of the promotion that Mercury is running, they are offering a 5 year protection plan on any OptiMax purchased between now and April 15 at no charge. I have been leaning toward the Opti but my dealer is trying to talk me out of it, saying that I would just be paying for research and developement and the differance is minimal. I have been a member of this board for over a year and have gotten tons of great info and many laughs, even though I rarely post, I read it every day.. http://about
