Drop in and check em' out. Sorry about the quality- cheap camera. As you can see, I have much cosmetic work left to do on this project!

nice job Ben it looks real good! BTW I particularly like the picture of your finger!!!

Ben...

Okay, I looked at the "before" picture and that sure looks like a Merc... How you got it to be an OMC in the "after" pics... WOW, I am impressed...

Now, for real, that does look great... You did a fantastic job.

Nice Picture of your FINGER in the deck/console pic!!!

Boat looks great Ben, that 110 looks small compared to the Merc's 115, but it's faster then my 40 so who am i to judge !!!

Greg, tis magic, grasshoppa, magic!

Trep, you know big things come in small packages. Remember my friend, its not the size that matters... uhh... nevermind. I do have a comparable "size" to your boat/motor combo in my little wooden boat with its OLD 40 hp Merc. Now that would be a race! Who wants to judge??? Hi noon this spring at Lake Lanier! Tin vs. wood! Old vs. new! Ben vs. the Trepper!

Hey with the deep V in that wooden boat, she'll probably handle some of the waves on Lanier better then that Glass boat!!!

I can see it now, a HOLE (pun intended) nother thread on Tin vs. Wood!!! LOL

Hey Ben, you know the only real difference between a TF and a FS is those front seats and cushions. That's where my tackle and rod lockers are. If you put in a deck extension and some locker lids from BPS, you got yourself a bass/tourney rig. Like what you did with the seats. I might have to do that with mine to sell it.

Hey Trep, that glass rig he has will walk away from you in a heart beat in 2-3 footers on Lanier with your tin.

Not if we both have the same gas supply, he'll run out WAY before I do and just like the story of the turle and the hare, i'll go CRUISING by...

Think again buddy, he has a much bigger tank, and at lower rpms and speeds, he will still be a good 10 mph faster than you and running about the same GPH. Nice theory, but the world ain't flat pal! LOL

See there Rob, as usual you can't READ!!! I said "we both have the same gas supply" so if we both have 5 gallons of gas ONLY, he'll go faster but run out sooner!!!You think he's old 110 is going to slurp at the same rate as my 40 on such a heavy boat - NOT!!!

Trep,

Just so you know, Rob didn't do to well doing word problems in school!!

Ok, two trains in Plattsburgh are headed towards each other on the same set of tracks. What color grub is Rob dragging at ### Point next May?

Bob G.

Slurp she does, Trep. Badly! Yeah Rob, those seats to me are a much better layout than the old ones. I've now got plenty of room to mount drink holders on either side that will actually work! I got the seats through Cabela's for 60.00 a pop. Very comfy too!

nice job. Your spped is similar to mine. I have the merc 125 but w/ the 23P aluminum and do about 46 mph. Might get it near 50 if I change out to a laser II 22P and raise the motor. But w/ the aluminum, Bob Says keep it the motor lower. I'm not sure it's worth the $$ to get maybe 2-4 mph more speed. It works fine w/ the Aluminum prop and it's alot cheaper if the prop gets damaged.
