On my way home from a tx that I sucked at...

The 03 Ram truck that impelled this poor girls car into my boat and truck is sitting about 100 yards behind my truck. As far as I know the girl has a couple of broken ribs but everyone else escaped unharmed.

Oh dang man!!!! Glad all are ok and sorry to hear aobut this!!! At least the boat stayed on the trailer!!

YIKES!! We all have nightmares about the same thing. Hope you and the boat are ok. My guess is that the trailer is tweaked at least, can't see the damage on the boat. Looks like she hit your truck and slid back to the boat, hopefully that will minimize any damage to the boat itself. Get the transom checked, that's a lot of weight to be slinging around with the motor.

Actually she hit the boat first and slid down to the truck. My biggest worry is that the fiberglass is damage in an area that will weaken it and I'll get screwed in the process. It looks like the skeg may have hit the road but just slightly. I guess we will see how good Nationwide Ins(cause Ins Co) and my decision to change to Allstate back in April. Any advice on what to do here would be greatly appreciated.

Take a ton of pictures and identify every nick. When approved get it to a good glass shop for a survey of the damage, not the ins co's adjuster.

Absolutely tons of pictures, and look for some taken not long before the accident, have a "Before and After" collection to show the insurance company.

And please be patient. Dont try to have this fixed in hurry. TAKE your time. Sign NOTHING. If your insurance company sends you a check quickly, dont cashi it. Some policies have a clause that says once you sign and cash the check the claim is closed.

Ive been where you are, twice, so I feel your pain and anger !

That is a wicked huge bummer :(

Good call, Tox. I went out today and the transom is cracked all accross the back edge on top and looks like the fiberglass is pulled loose on the underside.

Sorry to hear that Jimmy. After all the problems with the Z6 and now this. Hope the next boat brings you better luck.

WOWZA!! Man, I'm sure glad no major injuries came from that. The boat can be fixed/replaced. I'm very glad it wasn't worse. ;)
