New to bass boats. I just bought a used 2009 nitro Z6. I've had the boat out about 8 times, and feel like I'm starting to finally get a feel for it. So far I'm happy with the boat. I need to play around with props some, but it's tough in Utah when my home lake is about 5500' elevation and I'm within a few hours or so of some over 8000' down to 3000' or so.

Anyway, this isn't about props, but I have a few other questions.

I've called both nitro and asked a local boat dealer about this-with no answer.

On the bottom (horizontal) of my boat near the transom there is a rather large (2-3") brass hole. Attached to this brass hole is a rather large black pipe/hose that runs up through the battery compartment to a black plastic hole just to the left on the splash well. WTH is it for?

Yes, the vent for the pad, exits out on the top rear passanger side.

Thanks guys. Figure it was something legit as it looked like it is factory installed. Just kind of funky to have hole like that in the bottom of your boat. Think I'll keep an eye on that hose clamp.
