Am wondering if anyone can share any related info:
Ordered a ZV19 Sport Pro about 8 weeks back. 3 days after order received PDF showing order. Nothing since then.
While choosing color I had a hard time as all you can see on website is a small animated drawing from side. I reluctantly went with the color I saw at a store in person… rather than chance something I couldn’t really tell.
Then later I saw where they have recently posted pics of different color patterns at places selling them.
Now I would like to just change the paint scheme… but being told I’ll have to start the entire wait process over. Even though they have NOT started in on the build whatsoever.
I get the feeling this is a case of the White River Sales Rep that my sales guy is dealing with not being able to talk directly to the “right person” at the manufacturing Plant. I guess I’m wondering:
A. Can one talk to the manufacturing plant?
Or is there a phone number? Or do they all go to a main White River number?
B. Or is this a waste of time and should just start process over?

The gel coat for the color scheme on these boats is added to the mold first. Then fiberglass is built over the top of the gel coat. So if your boat was even somewhat past this first stage yes they would have to start all over again unfortunately. This could also pose a scheduling problem with the factory depending on how many of these boats that they have to build and how many molds they have. You may very well have been put behind everyone else that was after you for that mold to keep their existing builds on schedule. Unfortunately this is a huge change after a build has been started so you may just have to bite the bullet and wait. The good news is you will get what you truly want.

was told the only thing that had happened so far was the start of getting materials together. Yeah if they had started I’d give up. Am starting to imagine that there is no way to speak to anyone at the Plant

I would just resubmit and wait. It is a bummer, but I think you will be happier down the line with the color change. I would go over all the other options also...in case you changed your mind on some of those too. 8 weeks goes pretty fast.......
