New. '02 bass Tracker pro team 185xt jet owner

New here and only second summer with the boat. Just re did all the carpet and now diving into the engine issues. Does anyone know where to find or have any manuals on this boat. I have the engine manual but doesn't explain the throttle control lever. (after reassembly either in forward or reverse boat goes backwards and sometimes will switch to forward). I'm at a complete loss and I took pictures, labeled, and have been doing this kind of stuff for a while (never on a boat but a motor is a motor) so I know it went back how it came apart but doesn't operate the same.. Any help, info, or In site on this boat is greatly appreciated!! Inherited it from father in law and know nothing about it other than what I've figured out tinkering and a couple trips on it last year.
