Everyone that has 2001 150hp Opti-Max what should I do? I have a chance to trade a 2000 135hp Opti-Max for a 2001 150hp Opti-Max. I was wanting to know would I really gain by a trade and if I would how much boote should I give? (my motor and extra money) Thanks any input would be accepted

Mike, before you do anything, maybe a chat with an Opti-qualified Merc technician is in order. Arent't they exactly the same block? Is it possible that the difference between the two motors is software?



I recall reading that the Opti 135 was underrated, putting out something closer to 145hp. I'd hate to see you dump the money in, only to find that you hardly get any bang for the buck.
