hey everyone. i want to say thank you for everyone helping me out especialy bob. i have a 2000 nitro nx 750 dc with a 125 elpto. im buying a new teleflex cable for my steering and i have to pull the motor to install the new cable. the boat seems like its gonna flip over when im about to plane out but ofcourse it wont. i thought damn it rides really high and when i slow down the water catches up to it really fast.while i slow down the boat is way up in the air. so i got to thinking is the boat motor in the right hole. what is the advantage disadvantage to doing this. i can tell from the looks of things the motor used to be in the middle hole. any help would be appreciated since im going to pull the motor anyway. i can show a picture if yall tell me how to post it.thank you

Motor should be mounted 1.5" above the top of the transom. Should be the middle hole....;)

lol ok bob would this have anything to do with it driving poorly.its in the 4th hole 2nd to bottom.thanks again.im gonna have to start paying you for all your help

so i need to actually lower the motor. what kind of silicone do i need to use to seal everything up. thanks again

I would put it back per the OEM spec. Use ONLY an above-and-below water sealant such as Boat-Life "Life-Caulk" or "Life Seal". Either works well for this use. ;)
