minnkota AT40 or AT55

deciding on buying AT40 or AT55,40 is $175 cheaper than a 55 had a 40 on my jon boat & loved it plenty of power Im upgrading my MG 43lb to minnkota on my PT175 motor had enough power but was flimsy AT 40 should be good enough.What do you think??

I have an AT55 on my v17. I had a MG50 on it when I bought it, so I stepped up to a 55, I noticed the extra power. I'm glad I went with the more powerfull option. More is better if you can afford it. $80 for an extra 15 pounds thrust seems like it would be worth it, at least to me it would.

you won't regret having the extra power especially on a rough day or through heavy cover...
