I have 2001 Nitro 288 Fish and Ski with a 200HP Mercury Optimax. I noticed last year that the warning buzzer that you normally hear momentarily when starting the engine, quit working. I hear nothing other than a very faint noise when I turn the key. I'd like to either replace or fix this module so I have the protection of the warning buzzer if any thing goes wrong in the engine. Does anybody have any idea where Tracker mounts the warning buzzer for the Merc? I checked under the driver's console but I didn't see anything other than the boat horn.

I appreciate the help.

I can't diagnose your problem but I can tell you that the buzzer for my 96 Nitro is under the console. Mine is a small red cylinder with an eraser size hole in the middle. They do come in all shapes and sizes though. They go bad from time to time and need to be replaced. I had one that got mud daubers (wasps) in it and it wouldn't work because it was clogged with mud. If you do yahoo or google images search it shows you all the different types you might have.
