Couldn't get my livewell pump to shut off today. Had to disconnect the battery just to get it to stop. When I drained it by pulling the drain plug I did not turn the aerator switch off first. As it was draining I turned it off but it would not shut off. Drove it home. Then reconnected the battery and it kicked back on again. Any ideas?

Kevin,

I don't know what the problem is but next time, rather than disconnect your whole battery take a peak under the console. The wires to the switches are not soldered so you can just unplug the livewell switch. This would allow you to disconnect the livewell circuit without loosing what ever else is connected to the battery.

good luck with it,

Marke

The switch is jammed up under the console pretty good. I'll have to get up under there. It's a brand new (2001 left over) boat. I was hoping that it was because I pulled the drain plug before shutting it off.
