Okay guys and gals. Have seen this several times:

Put the pictures in my library of the . . . . .

Take a look and tell me what you think.

This type of message shows up now and again when someone puts some pic's into their library. However, how am I supposed to know who that person is???

Pic's and other information that you may put in your library is great. Usually provides good info and/or enjoyment. But if I have to go trying to figure out who you are, I loose interest quickly.

If you post something in your library and want someone to look at it, tell us how to get there.

I, like most others, won't spend too long trying to track something down. Not knocking the site strucutre or how it's organized (it's pretty good - kudo's again Rich), just realize that once logged in, you can get to 'your library' (My Library on the menu) easily.

I can't tell Mike, from Bob, from Rob from Texas Transplant (me).

Not venting, just making sure that we look from the other perspective. I'd really like to see those rooster fish pic's, but . . . .

Stepping down off my soapbox - seems I am 'preaching' in this post.

Tex

Whenever you want to see someone elses library, just click on the yellow "M" next to their screen name...it will take you right there!!!

Duh! Thanks for the tip Ken. Hadn't heard that before.

Looks as though now, you are taking up teaching the finer points of NTOWS navigation.

Tex

You know Tex, I kept reading your post over and over again TRYING to figure it out.

Ken - GM of Auburn Hills BPS and WebMaster!!!

Trep,

You just have to read it reeeeaaaalllll ssssllllloooooowwww like a Texan would write it!!!

Ken,

You have to forgive Trep. It's the yeast in the homebrew. It sometimes fogs his mind a little bit.

Now, if I would have written it like a true Texan, so that it could be understood by everyone, it would have contained only 1 syllable words, and not longer than 10 words total!

Then Trep would have understood, although I was impressed with him when he used the "schmeckle" in a proper sentence!!!

Great MEMORY for an old Fart Ken, you remembered my use of "schmeckle"!! Oy Vey!!

OH! It was being from Texas that proved to be the problem! I thought it was 'cuz he worked for Big Blue!

Hey, now leave Tex out of this Big blue thing, he works for a bank!! Big Blue just got 30,000 employee's bigger today, they approved and started the integration of the Price Waterhouse Coopers consulting practice today. Can you say $3.5 BILLION dollar purchase!!

Have figured out how to get my pic in the area now. Thanks for the help Ken. I have my boat picture under my library now.

Carlos

Tox,

Standard Merc, just repaintd as the previous owner did not like the Tracker/Merc paint that came on it. Trailer is new as of this April also. Now it would be nice if it came off of Lake X though :) But the boat goes fast enough to scare me now!!!

Tex, I am here in Virginia now, was in Carolina for a few years.

Carlos

HA!!..Hey Carlos,...put one of those big goofy rear spoilers on it...like the kids do with their Honda's!! Then Toxic will be totally intimidated!!!! :O)

Yeah! And get whitewall tires for your trailer. Snazzy.

Hey Carlos,...got another idea for your motor cover,...

I'll design a logo that you can have made out of vinyl at any local sign shop.....we'll use one of my smilin' cocky lookin' toad bass,..with "crosshairs" in between his eyes.....a tribute to the "Hathcock" legacy and your love of this sport!!...and we'll borrow a line from Clint,..adding the caption under it, "Go ahead,..Merc my day!"....LOL!!!....

That would ROCK!!!!!

Mac

I'm a MARINE!

Speed scares me.

Thanks, Carlos! I'll sleep much better knowing that!

:^)

Mac,

HAHAH Great idea!!!!! Too funny!!!!!! I can visualize that one now!!! Scott, I am a helicopter guy, 140 knots is about the fastest. In a helo that is!!!! Toxic's boat has enough accleration to push you back in your seat. Mine is not quite like that but fast enough. Sleeping well still :)

Carlos

PS Plus Marines are know for the slow and steady approach to things ;-)

hahahhaa,...COOL!!! Consider it done,...I can draw that up in a few minutes....not a problem at all!! I'll get it drawn up and scan it and email it to you!! After you get the decal made,...take a digital pix of it and we'll send it to my contacts at Mercury,..they'll FREAK!! Don't be surprised if you get a "Care pkg" in the mail a week or so later sayin,.."Thanks for the chuckle!!"....I'll make that happen!! LOL..

Mac

Carlos -

My first helicopter ride came some 25 or 30 years ago with an ex-marine by the name of Bob Williams who had flown in Viet Nam..... He took me for about a 3-hour flight to inspect an oil pipeline for leaks that ran up and down hills through the Missouri Ozarks - we followed the contours of the land! WHEE!! What a ride!!!!!!!

Mac,

Will do for sure on the picture!!! Sounds cool. I am looking forward to hearing their response. Scott, I am a crew chief on a CH-46 also. Have ridden in Cobra's and the CH53. great ride all of them!!! Seems that ride with him was very memorable. Like loking out the window and seeing the mountian next to you huh :) Great fun. I do have a few fun stories on the plane rides in soem out of the way places.

Carlos

I forget the make of helicopter we were in, Carlos. (Was it possibly something like a "Brantly"?) I doubt that they are still made. It was shaped kind of like a "drumstick" ice cream cone laying on it's side with the front end one big fish bowl and the tail section all enclosed. Except for the controls in front of you, it was like flying in open air! At first, that feeling of exposure was a bit unnerving - BUT the thrill of the ride quickly overcame with absolute exhilaration!!!
