Leaking tracker 185

Just bought a 2000 tracker 185 (riveted model) the previous owner sore it did not leak. I knew it would, so that is not the issue.



I am just looking for advice on how to figure out where it is leaking and what to do to fix the leaks.

Park it on level ground and fill the bilge with water, then bend over and take a look. It could also be taking on water in the seam under the gunwale. Water will get up under there when you take a nice long run at full speed. Common problem with PT's.

You also might want to lift it off the tires before filling. (Blocking the axle/frame.) If nothing comes through the hull line, try a flashlight inside your compartments shining at the cap seal one evening and look for light coming out. Good luck!
