Remember me telling you all about my little green torpodo of a PVC boat??? Well, here is a pic of the setup. I have 4 or 5 trolling motor only lakes near my house that are just brimming with gills, cats, white perch, crappie and of course bassus maximus. The funny thing is that the "fisherman" steer clear of these waters (usually under 300 acres, one is 800) because they have a mindset that bid water = big fish. It's the best kept secret in the State!

and I've got proof.

Nice fish, but WHO is that UUUUUUGLEEEEE dude holding it? LOL I see lots of people fish out of those lil Coleman crawdads around here. Cracks me up to see 3 over grown men stuffed into one, with a case of beer, duh, water inches from the brim heading out into the bay in 2 foot chop. I usually dial 9, 1, and wait!

I hear ya Rob, That's not the best pic of .........the fish. I am a bit larger than life and needed to downsize the pic a bit. Mine is a "Bass Hunter" and has foam filled pontoons, there's no sinking it. I did drop it on some Ice going out to crappie fish (by myself) one fall. I had to drag it across the ice to open water and by the time I got to the middle of the lake (125 acres) I was ridin pretty low in the water!! I have had rollers breaking over the front but there is a drain hole in the back so it just goes through. It is worth it to get out on some of these lakes.

I love fishing the small impoundments. Some under 10 acres. They are usually tucked away in places most folks drive past and are so full of timber, you cant get a big boat in. An 85lb aluminum (with sparkle painted on) that you can carry (or drag) in is just the ticket.

By the way, can you hold that skipper a little closer to the camera Tox?

T

STOP!! I was actually leaning back and holding it CLOSE to me. I don't have to resort to camera foolery when holding up a 15 pounder.

It looks like a dink with that big ugly dude in the background...now if Scott were holding it, it would look like the new world record!!!

There's a small lake about 40 miles from where I live that is reported to have one of the better populations of 6 lb+ largemouths in the state... There's a 10HP limit, but boats w/ larger motors are still allowed to be out there, just using trolling motors.. In fact, they even let you fire up to launch and load, as long as you shut it down pretty quick afterward.

The first time I ever went up there was Saturday of this past Labor day weekend, so I called beforehand to see if the lake was really crowded... "Uh, we're pretty busy today, but you'd prolly be OK to come on up if you're just fishing..." Like, what else am I going to do on a 10HP limit lake?? Anyway, we went up there and there were only about 15 boats TOTAL, on just under 200 acres... I thought to myself that whoever I spoke to must have been mistaken to say they were busy that day...

We went up the next weekend, and we saw 4 other boats on the water in the 4 hours we were there, and 3 of them were travelling together. Hmmm.... I guess 15 boats really was busy!! LOL!

TOX, you got that "Mr. PotatoHead" look!

No! Wait! You're from D.C....... Make that "Mr. PotatoeHead"!!

I guess I deserve that for ribbin you "MR." Matheis. But geeze, the other guys are dissin you on the size of your........fish. At least I never did that.

Hey he DID post a pic! And it was at best 3". He left himself wide open for it! The bait was bigger. But really I guess if you put everything in perspective, and look at Scott's overall size, I suppose everything is proportionate! LOL

Keep telling yourself that. Maybe you'll convince somebody! LOL Hey even BPS sells a T-shirt that says size DOES matter!

Since we're showing our small ones, here's mine!! It's even a TRACKER. Don't do the two people thing tho. In a boat that small I want to know exactly what the other guys moves will be and the only way I can be assured of that is to be the only other guy in the boat.

Scott, saw that picture a long time ago. Always thought that was your finger. Didn't know it was actually a fish!!! LOL I shouldn't laugh, Haven't even caught anything that big lately.

You can't see it, Sam, 'cuz they're so small - but that little walleye was givin' me the finger!

You should try Crappie fishing out of a two manner' and have three lard butts in it! One was sitting in a 5 gallon bucket for his seat and never did give any warning when he was leaning to one side or the other and seemed to do it at will! Finally we told him to get out and walk or sit still!

I love my little boat as much as I love my big boat. They both have their own uses!
