My wife is leaving Friday am to visit my Mom in AZ so it's me and the boys for 4 days. I asked them if they wanted to try and get some BIG FISH on Saturday and got a resounding "YEA!!!!" So, Lake Lanier here in North Georgia seems to be the best Striper lake right now, from the reports i've read.

So, i'm planning on getting the boys up to the lake around 10-11am and fishing the south end probably from Young Deer creek up to Two and Six Mile. Maybe a run to Flat if the water is smooth.

Anyone else gonna be on the late this weekend? Look for the S.S. Daddy and let me know i'll email you my cell number so we can hook up.

I HOPE my luck changes and the boys get to tie into a Striper!

Trep I have cought alot of fish around two mile and Toto creek. I used to go there every spring and fish with one of my buddies. Good luck and if you want some "hot spots" of spots I may be able to squeeze a few tips out of him.

Donnie

Donnie - Feed me those spots!! I've tried a few times on Lanier around 2 mile, six, flat creek, dam and Young Deer. I've had a couple of misses on downlines and none yet trolling umbrella rigs.

His spots will be more for LM and Spoted bass...let me know if you still want some of these.

Trep, Do you know Tom Branch, Lake Lanier guide service? fished with him this past weekend! KB

KB - Don't know Tom Branch, i've fished with only one guide Mac Farr.

Gonna get some live bait, bring my trolling rod w/umbrella rig, some books for the boys, the bimini top, lunch/drinks and the Trepper Boys' are gonna tearemup!!!

Hey kb5601:

How did you like Tom? He's a fellow Gwinnett fireman. He can be a bit cocky, but he's alright.

Welcome Tom - If you ever see a 17ft Tracker Pro Crappie with S.S. Daddy on the back that's mine. Should be on the water saturday around 10:30 - 4pmish, depends on how the fishing is and how well behaved my boys are.

Hey Trep! - I had a good morning yesterday on the south end in front of West Bank Park at the double pole in front of the beach/swim area. Between there and the mouth of Baldridge, I caught seven or eight stripers from 8-15lbs. and a handful of decent spots (2.5-3.5lbs.) most on a chrome/blue big chug bug. Caught two on a 7" chrome blue redfin. Saw a bunch of live baiters working the same areas, hooking up pretty regularly. I'm fishing the SuperBASS Southern Regional this weekend or I'd try to hook up with you. Good luck!

Tom Branch is a great fella and I'm proud to call him a friend. You'll get a lot of info here, Tom. Stick around!

Thanks Dan - If you get any more info before this weekend just drop me an email, i'm hoping to get the kids a nice Striper for dinner on Satuday and let them help me real a few in.

Good luck on the SuperBASS Southern Regional!!
