Just shut down while running at 3500 rpm's, no horns

no whistles no warning. I have had the motor over

5k rpm's maybe twice!!! I have written letter's to

George Blakey with Mercury, to Tracker, to Angler's Marine

(where I bought the boat) and to Gone fishin Marine another

Nitro Dealer here close to home, where the boat sits.

Do you have a contact who can maybe put a little pressure

on this Autherized Nitro / Merc dealer to at least look

at my boat?

Thanks Mark

Have you spoken with the Service Manager of that facility or the owner himself??? The squeaky wheel gets the grease, if it's done in a polite, professional manner...is he the dealer you bought the boat from??? If not, ANY authorized Merc dealer can look at your engine...

What exactly are they saying is wrong with the motor or dont you know yet... if it just shut down at 3500rpm but will restart or does it not restart either, If it will restart and run up to about 3500rpm before it dies again, then it sounds as though a low presure fuel pump has gone bad, but... without doing dignostics on the motor it's self it's hard to say.

Nope went into slow mode shutdown and would not

run above 1500 rpm's just like the manual says

(A safety feature to get you back to the ramp)

That was a twelve mile ride at 1000 rpm's.

Motor started etc. Problem the dealer (this is

a Autherized Merc./Nitro Dealer) not where i

bought this boat. Where I bought it is 700 mils

away. (better Deal) go figure thought Nitro had

a fix on that. Anyway been there three weeks.

Two T's and a vacation this month shoulda stuck with

my old EFI Nitro! It is a opti problem!!!! Talked

to lots of folks not happy!

Mark,

Problem sounds like it is definitely the dealer, too busy to squeeze you in...again, have you talked to the owner or service manager? Is there another Merc repair facility in your area? It doesn't have to be a Notro dealer...
