Board is slow today so here's one for ya.

If you could book any fishing trip, anywhere in the world for any fish, price was no issue, where would you go. Also who would you choose as a guide.

For me, it's very tough. I have always wanted to fish Okechobee, and with Jimmy Houston or Denny Brauer. The thought of 12-15lb tank on the line is pretty exciting. But it's a tie with Al Lindner and walleyes in one of those loaded MN lakes.

Snook and tarpon in Belize! Any guide who'd put up with me for 8 hours a day!

me!

I don't think...well Joe Bucher...definitely...a real gentleman...knowledgable and very helpful in the boat...The rest mentioned above...better rethink...there is a world of difference between the "TV" personality and the "real person".... Now, Bill Dance and Hank Parker are genuine down to earth people in all situations...

Me...I'll take Hank Parker on any lake he chooses...

Without a doubt Joe Bucher on one of his hidden Canadian trophy lakes where 50" muskies are like 30" here in Wisconsin.

Al Lindner a close 2nd but I don't think I have the energy to keep up with him.

This is so easy. cabo san lucas! the fish ... a roosterfish.

Booked my honeymoon the other day cant wait to get there, sept 16th thru sept 22. must catch fish or will not return to states.

definitly jimmie houston, and to a lake where its known for good bass and neither of us has ever fished it before. i'd enjoy watching him learn the lake. thanks stan

Well Rob, I'm still getting over all the excitement of going to Champlain with you as my guide in 3 days.

If I had to pick a TV personality it would be Al Lindner for Pike or Musky.

But for my graduation present, I'm thinking a week or two horse back riding and backpacking into remote streams in Wyoming or Montana for some nice trout on a fly rod.

H-mmmmm, I would book 1 month combo trip to El Salto and Comedero. No guide except maybe a local for a day or two on Comedero. (Just to learn the layout of the lake). I would stay at Anglers Inn on El Salto and Ron Speeds camp on Comedero. That is my dream trip.....Cmack

See I've never been in salt water, but Tarpon look really fun too, say the keys. Do they run that far south? Don't know who with, but only because I've never done it! I am in guide trip swap club, that we all swap free trips. I picked a ME moose hunt for 2 days of birds and then 2 days of bass, still think I got the better deal. But next year, I want to either go to Okechobee or do tarpon. My wife says only 1....GEESH! I have a lot of time to make up my mind. Can't find anyone in the midwest on eyes that does the swap thing.

Rob,

You're lookin for a Walleye Guide to swap a trip with? E-mail some info and I'll pass it on to several I know... Give me some "territory" requirements if you have any... I need to communicate anyway...I've got some "prizes" for the Rally I want to donate.

My trip? Trout fishing on the Kenai Penninsula or other rivers and streams in Alaska. As far as a guide, I choose someone local, based on the recommendations of folks who live up there.

An alternate would be smallie fishing in the Great Lakes region or in Canada. I'd love to tie into one ah them there hogs you guys catch and post pictures of! THOSE are some FISH!!!

Peacock Bass in South America...

Guide would be Shania Twain!!!

Any lake down south with either Hank Parker or Bill Dance. Wouldn't have to catch fish...just the learning experience.

Carli

ps....Scott...you disappointed me! I thought for sure you would have said Penny!!! LOL

Have met Roland...no thanks. Most likely my choice would be Denny Brauer for bass, Al Linder for pike and muskie, and I think fishing with Charlie Moore would be a hoot!! Of course I'd travel for the big fish, but would like to see how Denny or anyone would fair on a couple local New England lakes :)

I have fished with both Zell Rowland and Woo Daves,....two of THEE funniest guys you'll EVER fish with....gauranteed!! But I'd have to say I'd LOVE to fish with KVD for the shere aspect of learning new things,...or Hank Parker for the all around good time....man that dude is funny!!! I got to meet him and hang out with him for awhile last year at the Mustad UltraPoint Classic in Detroit,.....and I saw him again this spring in Springfield......and he remembered me!!!....I promised him a Scales and Tales print,..customized for him with his name in the caption and a Hank Parker Classic spinner bait in it, etc...etc...(and I STILL haven't done it yet!!)

Well...he hasn't forgotten it yet either!..LOL.....He was all over me,...doggin' me up and down about how he stands at the end of his driveway EVERYDAY, waiting for that "lil ole brown truck" to pull in his driveway and drop off his picture and EVERY day it just drives right on by and NEVER stops at his house,....ahahaahhah"...he is sooo funny,....and YES guys,..I WILL get his pix done and send it to him, ASAP!!....I have his home phone number and his address,...(no you can't have it!!!)....LOL

He is every bit as funny and genuine in person as he seems on TV.....a GREAT guy,....and so is Kevin, Woo, and Zell....first class people and a real credit to professional fishing...I'm proud as heck to be friends of theirs too!! But I STILL want to go fishin' with Mini this weekend!!!..LOL

Seeya,

Mac

Keeley your nutz....I like it!

Let's see, how about trout fishing, secluded Canadian Lake, 22 Penthouse pets.....I have the only plane out...

Pierreeee

Sorry Mini,..........change of plans,....I'm going with Pierre!!!!...LOL

Mac

Pierre,

You couldn't even get Stephane Yelle's sister. How would you possibly score 22 Pets???

But if you do, I'll be with Mac knocking on the door.....LOL

Marke

Awwww Mac,

I'm jealous now! YOU have Hank's address and phone number and you won't share???

All right....I do have a "Mac Original" and Hank doesn't so I'm not too mad! LOL

Carli

Got to chat with Hank at 2000 Classic in Chicago...Then after the weigh-in he (and wife and daughter) sat next to me and my friend at the Trish Yearwood Concert (till he was "run-off" by autograph seekers)...kinda felt sorry for him

Rick - I was just in a tournament Saturday at Lake Wequaqet in Barnstable... didn't catch anything again this year :)

Aside of that lake, I haven't fished any others down in that area.

Bruce
