Guys, please keep an eye out for me. I'm looking for a ski/fish boat (not the bass-boat based fish&ski type). Above all else, it needs to have tall gunwales so that when I go out in stupid conditions, I come home. Katie needs a floor to play on and not fall overboard. You know, something where she can stand at the edge and fish without fear of a wave sending her flying (she's 2 1/2).

Under $3000.

MUST HAVES:

working engine

high gunwales, deep-vee

16-20'

decent trailer

solid floor

DESIRED:

aluminum

livewell

trolling motor

40+mph top speed

trailer brakes

rod locker

storage

i/o (sterndrive)

email me with anything you've got ([email protected]). I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a boat. $3000 is TOP DOLLAR. I am not expecting a 2000 model with a 250xs. I want something incredibly decent that is safe for my daughter, and won't be offended when it gets tied up to a tree for crappie fishing. It doesn't have to be a "fishing boat". A bow-rider can be converted. If under 17', it needs to be WIDE.

Teri's boat would work, for instance: http://www.zjstech.net/~library/8544/nitro185.jpg

This boat would not:

Hey Mike I sent you e-mail maybe it will work for you.

Thanks JimBob. Yep Bryan, got tired of payments and the local city government telling me where I can and can't park it. Of course after I sell the boat, they have an injunction where they can't enforce the law. Politics....
