I placed a call to Tracker customer service today trying to locate some specific information on my rig. They are great people to talk to.....During the conversation this lady asked me if I got the letter/bulliten on the steering. I told her no and she gave me the number to Teleflex (604-270-6899). She said it has to do with changing out the fluid and she advised me to get in touch with them ASAP because this could cause an accident. I thought holy Sh@t, that sounds serious!! Anybody know what she's talking about before I make the call!?!?

It only affected a few boats...where the steering cables come through the transom they were chaffing. The fix is to insert a plastic sleeve in the opening.

Ken, she said it involved the FLUID (faulty maybe?) and could cause the steering to go out. What boats were affected by the cables? Yes, reach down in your desk drawer and pull it out.

I don't have the info...they never sent us a list of affected serial numbers....I don't know anything about the fluid. Give 'em a call.

Yeah, sure, and I suppose you want me to call you with the results too. What, do I look like Marke? Ha, Ha, I'll give em' a call and report back.

Had to send e-mail inquiry, company is in BC and work phone system won't let me call there (imagine that!). I will report back ASAP.
