Hi,

I have a PT185 trailer that I need to swap out the wire that goes to the right side brake light. I think there is a short in the wire. How do I fish the trailer wire thru the galvanized trailer? With a magnet or something?

Thanks in advance.

Jason

ive always had good luck useing a fish tape. like they use for running electical wire in houses.

Can you pull the new through, while pulling the old wire out ??

If you can use the old wire as a "pull" for a strong nylon braid first it will prevent the "breaking" of the old wire when you start to pull a new wire (the nylon braid is much more flexible and less likely to get hung up when the old wire is pulled out... just has always worked better for me to do it in two steps...

lol. I overlooked the "obvious" fish tape or old wire pull methods.. LOL thanks..

I even have one of those fish tapes in my basement....

I feel stupid now
