I have a 2011 Nitro Z6 and it does not have an Hour Meter as standard in the console. I have now fitted a pulse type meter under the cowl to keep track but of all the necessary guages, I rate an Hour Meter right up there.

Hows everyone else keeping track of their maintenance schedule?

Also, can the hours be qualified by a technician during service?

If they wanted you to be right on the hours, they would come with a hour meter I would think. A good guess is good enough for me. I have to fish so I'm counting 30 min per trip ;)

Good luck.

Your pic shows an Opti, so your ECU should be recording every detail by the minute. Your Merc dealer should be able to tell you at your next vist. Without an hour meter installed you'll need the diagnostic equipment necessary for the dealer which is cost prohibitive for the end user. If you're wanting to know hours of use easily, the aftermarket hour meter is the way to go. IMHO Good luck! ;)

Sorry Bob,

Its a 2011 Pro XS Opti. The pulse hour meter that I fitted is working fine but I thought an hour meter was almost an essential guage to have.
