Yes, when I put mine back, I used galvanized countersunk bolts and nuts. JohnB noted that I said less than one year life- I checked on that, it was around 16 months but even that is a very short life. I'm sure there are a lot of 3-4 year old trailers out there that have really bad or falling apart bunks. Hard to tell when they wrapped in carpet. Trailers that don't go in the water often will do better too. Mine is wet almost every week year round.
