Just wanted to introduce myself. I bought an '02 882 SC last week to replace my 14' jon boat. It is pretty much "stock", but I have a Humminbird 1197 and 597 ordered and hope to have them installed next week.



I'm sure I will have several "stupid new owner" questions, so please bear with me. I have read through about 4 months of the forum posts and am impressed with the level of knowledge and the helpfulness of the members.

I just bought a Nitro this past fall to replace a jon boat. No questions are dumb I thought the same way but these guys helped me with every question I had.

your choice of an 882 was a good one. for a smaller boat it handles bigger lakes great, is relitivy easy to drive and maintain and as long as you dont try to be a hot rod its

a rig that will keep you safe. i wish you the best of luck and we will be here to ansewer any of the "stupid new owner questions" the same ones that we asked at some point in our boating histories

Welcome... And, yes there are a "few" (somewhat) unstable (read that as "nutcase", if you wish..) folks here... The rest of us are outrageously crazy. Mac and Toxic are clearly understating their condition... Maybe with decades of intense intreatment therapy they could be upgraded to nutcases... In the meantime, sit back and post and enjoy.
