How was the fishing??? I thought the chain was still closed due to high water...?

David

I posted a picture of my catch...

Here it is again....

Yup that was it....

We trolled up the riuver from the second bend above the park to the 134 bridge... Nothing...

Current was a big factor, water is still too high and fast... Then the wind from the west was a problem. Best part of the day was a cheeseburger and a $2.50 Bloody Mary at the BridgePort Inn ;) Saw a few guys in the channels as I was going home on Rt 12... Watched one guy with a "hook set" and a jumping fish so at least one LM got caught today...

I figure another week to 10 days and the eyes will be back in the river and should be better fishing.

Check out the various Chain posts at Chicagolandfishing.com

Care to join me some day let me know I am always up to chasing some eyes... ANd, with my son focused on studying for the Bar Exam I am short a fishing partner...

Corresponded with a guide who fished north up to and above the state line... He caught one short and a catfish...

Rain started about 1:00 and we pulled off.
