Dance? Naaa! Just got a call from our previous HR and accounting mgr who they axed. She and I always saw eye to eye and she appreciated what I have done for this company, and confirmed that I was massively underpaid! Well, I waited and now she is literally across the road at a brand new company. She's the first one on the payroll. Her and the owners are all there is, and she wants me to come over. A blank check! Get this, they mfr plastic bullets for police and military! LOL As long as they meet my requirements, I'm going. 3 weeks vaca at my disposal for tourneys, weekends off for the "season", benies, and continue paying for my college towards a degree. If they do that on top of the money I think they will offer me, I will be posting from a new PC by Friday! LOL When asked if I would give a 2 week notice I had to reply, "Would you give ME one?" I will likely do it anyway and not burn a bridge in the event the new company is not what they make it out to be, but wish me luck all! I see a new truck and boat in my future! LOL, oh yeah and a house for Michelle......eventually!

Rob,

Hope it works out for you. Good idea to keep the bridges intact!!

Here's to wishing you the best. (I see you got your priorities in order also...... truck, boat, and THEN house!)

Good luck, Dave

Rob,

A start-up company can be a great oportunity or a shortterm nightmare. How about sending me an e-mail and we can exchange some info... Might be able to help you decide after I run some info down...

e-mail is [email protected] or [email protected]

No sir, I wear the pants in my house. "What's that Michelle? Na, just telling the guys how great you are and how I hope you let me get a 520 Commanche first.....yes dear, I know. Do you want the Victorian or post & beam?"

I know, I will give one, but really, does the employer give you 2 weeks notice of a layoff or termination, or company closing the doors? I just find that employers want full devotion but aren't willing to give it. I know full well what kind of image to project to get hired. I will stay on here for 2 weeks, get my vaca time when I leave and use it for a new paint job on the truck! But as messed up as this company is, they won't replace me until after I'm gone. How can I train a replacement that way? Our accts receivable clerk left 2 weeks ago. STILL no replacement. So EXACTLY HOW are we supposed to collect funds without that person? I'm telling ya, this place is going down if they don't change their ways.

Wow, Rob, good idea not to burn a bridge, and whatever happens at the company "across the street", good luck with it! egMike

DON'T burn any bridges,...NOT a good idea unless you plan on leaving that "industry" altogether and you don't EVER need any references to verify what you've been doing for the last 10yrs!!!..LOL

Congrates on the job prospect. I quit one job with a 1 day notice, I notified him the day after I quit. He was cool about it because the company was going under in a matter of days anyway. If the company is small I found you burn a bridge just by leaving. IMHO I wouldn't waste the vacation money on a paint job for a car I'm possibly getting rid of. You won't get your moneys worth when you trade it in.

Get the house first while mortgage rates are low. Everything I hear says the Fed will raise rates as soon as the economy starts to pick up.

LaMoy, Listen........Have I got your attention?

Get a golden parachute just in case it goes down in flames.

DO it. You can't afford to crash and burn.
