Belgrade - Three years after the state began a controversial plan to use an herbicide to rid a Belgrade lake of an invasive plant, the plant hasn't reappeared.
John McPhedran of the state Department of Environmental Protection told the Waterville Morning Sentinel, that there's no evidence of Eurasian water milfoil in Salmon Lake. He said the lake could be removed from the list of infested waters if it remains clear this year.
