Good morning everyone! A little early but decided to get up and try my hand at fishing this morning. Wife is heading out to take in a Nationals game with one of our sons so a good day for me to be on the lake. Can't decide whether to go hot or cold. Have a great day!

Good morning Bill in VA and everyone else. We had some fairly strong thunderstorms last night and early this morning. The weather dude is calling for more this afternoon. At least it's cooled the temps down a little.

Mornin' ya'll, went out last night and caught two bass on one rattle trap and got em' both in the boat, about 13" each. Had another double later on, but lost one at the boat. Missed a few on a carolina rig and that was about it. Pretty hot out in south GA and the fishin' is a little slow. Have a good one.

Put off going fishing because of the trunderstorms that were predicted all day today.



But it sure looks like a nice day outside to me,,,I really hate the weatherman.:angry:





Oh well, a nice day to stay home and cook on the grill. Pizzas for lunch, and I'll smoke up some ribs for dinner.

Morning Folks,

Been raining most of the night and morning here and very overcast. At least it has cooled down to 74 degrees for a change and we needed the rain.

I'm just gonna hang around the house today and rest, might try to catch up on some reports and paperwork if I feel up to it later.

Afternoon all!



Just got back from the Occoquan Reservoir. Good day. Boated 8 (my neighbor fishing with me got 7). All bass but one - a nice yellow perch. None of them anything to write home about in size, but fun nonetheless. Here's one of the nicer ones:

Got stopped by the Game Warden for a license and safety check (no biggie since I had everything I needed). Got to chatting with him and turns out that of the boats he had checked (and he was hitting every one!) we were the only ones that reported catching fish. Not too bad for rank amateurs!



Bill in VA - hope you catch a bunch, although you'll probably see this after you get back!

JimC- Any chance you (Or anyone else for that matter) can get out during the week sometime? I fish the res at least once, often 2 or 3 times, a week during the week, i usually have the place to myself!!

Ken - I could probably get out early from work sometime to fish later if you're interested - say on a Friday right after lunch? Let me know if that works and I'll see what I can swing. Still getting used to the new job, so I have to play it cool, but August is traditionally a slow month in my business.
