Read the previous post on getting the seats out. Still a problem, that I believe I have solved. Just returned from a club tournament where my partner wanted the seat removed (Targa 18) so he would have more walking room. No such luck. Put my 275+ under it and it wouldn't budge.
Got home and needed to clean it up before getting the motor fixed. Looked around in my garage and found the solution - I think. I found an old can of lock lubricator. Basically, it's graphite that is suspended in a liquid (alcohol based I believe). I took it and ran a bead around each of the four seats (that were all very stuck). Let it sit for about 3-4 minutes. Turn the seat whereby you can grab the two aluminim brackets on the back side of the seat. Rock it back and forth (a little more than gently, but not hard. This helps loosen the fittings. Once you see it starting to move, activitate the latch and it should pop right out. Mine did. Clean the receptacles, then apply a thin coat to both surfaces. Let dry. Replace and you are set. Worked real well for me.
Note: While I had the seats out, I turned them upside down and added a small bead around the friction ring where you rotate the seats. Helped that also.
Excess wipes up with a cloth.
