Found the Leak, ? on aerator pump.

Think i found my leak, thru hull fitting loose on aerator due to the dang thing being broken. Sealant was gone too. My boat has a Rule pump with the angled / threaded tube that exits thru the hull. Question is has anyone ever put a new pump in that was not angled? They are considerably cheaper but I hate to buy one and for some reason it not work due to the lack of angle on the pickup pipe. Thoughts please.
