I have a 2011 XS Pro 115 Optimax that I flush with ear muffs. I just popped the Cowl off for a look and found a hose with fitting that looks like it should have a garden hose attached to it fir flushing. Can someone tell me if that is what it's for please.

Yes you can flush your engine there, but do not run the engine.Use your cups if you care to run the engine for some reason. Also if you received a owners manual with your engine, it states this in it.

I flushed my 225 efi with the "Flush Fitting". My manual stated to only run it at idle. Muffs are the preferred method though. I had 10-15 psi on the fitting and never worried about it.

+1. The hose is primarily designed for boats that are in the slip, moored, where you can flush the motor out while tilted out of the water. ;)

Thanks for the info, I Have just got this boat a few days ago and I'm away for a couple of days running it in and forgot to bring my owners manual with me.

BTW, don't ever forget to put the flush plug back in if you use it. I can attest that a 225 efi running down the lake sounds like a NASCAR racer with it out.
