I posted a message about doing carpet and the idea of a srayed on bedliner was mentioned instead of carpet, has anyone done this in their boat, was wanting to know of some spray on bed liner I could get to do myself, my only concern is what it would do to the value of the boat if I ever wanted to trade it in or sell it, sounds like something to think about doing, so if anyone knows of any good spray ons let me know.

thanks

Don

i think once the spray on bedliner when it got wet would be slipprey as all get out.if youre putting it under the carpet to protect the wood might be a better idea.then it would seal the wood and the cut.

Duracraft boats... http://www.duracraftmarine.com/ has offered this as an extra cost option for a number of years... I have seen the boats finished like this and it is an impressive choice... But, it is alwasy applied over very rigid aluminum decking

I have seen it a few times. It will add alot of weight to the boat, Around 35 pounds to a 17 ft boat. It is not as slippery when wet. However it gets really hot in the sun.

I did seal my bunks withit before i put the slip strips on last night and i will hope for the best.

Uh-h-h-h..... I may be wa-a-ay wrong here, Mike.....

Since you're using the slip-strips, I think it would be better if the wood were left bare to enable it to "breath"..... It seems to me that coating the bunks of your trailer with a sprayed-on bedliner would do more to seal in any moisture and promote rotting.....

me?
